Chilli Sin Carne


1 Onion

2 cloves garlic

500g brown or green lentils

2 cans chopped tomato

1 can black beans

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp cumin

1/1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp paprika

1 tbsp italian spice blend (for pizza/pasta)

salt and pepper to season


coconut yoghurt

hemp seeds

1 avocado


  1. Wash lentils

  2. Sauté onions and garlic in a large pan with a little olive oil

  3. Add lentils and stir for a few minutes on medium heat

  4. add canned tomatoes and all the spices and boil until most of the fluid is absorbed

  5. Add water and keep adding occasionally until your lentils are soft

  6. Season with more salt and pepper if necessary

  7. Add black beans and cook for 5 more minutes

  8. Serve with coconut yoghurt, hemp seeds and avocado
